Yayasan Emmanuel, founded in December 2000, is a not-for-profit social services NGO headquartered in Sentul, Indonesia. It provides services and support to infants, handicapped children, malnourished children, poverty-stricken and scavenger communities.
The Foundation helps over 20 000 children and individuals each month through programmes focusing on education, housing and community services. Since the foundation’s inception, almost 2 million children and families have been helped.
The Nicholas Orphanage was established in 2002 with the arrival Aurora, and grew to 10 children, each welcomed in infancy. PER has been supporting the orphanage since its inception.
The children are cared for by Ibu Esther and Ibu Meinar. The orphanage is located on the grounds of the Emmanuel Foundation in Sentul, Bogor.
The children attend a local private Christian school and the fees are paid for by PER sponsorship. In 2019-2020 fees amounted to 78 000 000 IDR. Now with the children in their teens, the estimated budget for 2020-2021 is 43 000 000 IDR.
